Tomsk development got into the top five of the best world additive technology startups

The software for digital 3D-microtomograph developed by Elekard-Med, the resident of the SEZ TVT Tomsk, became one of the best five world startups in the “New Manufacturing Techniques of Parts Manufacturing for Industrial Production (Additive Technologies)”.

“The integrated tomography control system is the 3D system for visualization of information received from the tomograph. It allows seeing the whole object from within making no damage to it, and enables to build 3D-graphics for further turns and transformations of the object, as well as for its layer-by-layer viewing,” − said Konstantin Belyakov, the Vice-President for Strategic Development and External Relations of Elekard group of companies.

3D microtomograph was designed by scientists of the Tomsk State University (TSU). It enables to conduct researches of lifeless objects at the microscopic level, to check them for any defects. The device can be used in the radio-electronic and aviation industry, shipbuilding.

Concern about the tomograph based on Elekard-Med software was shown by many companies. Rosatom also got interested in it. According to Konstantin Belyakov, in comparison with its foreign equivalents, the tomograph designed in Tomsk has several advantages, including its lower cost.
