The Gaidar Forum to be opened at RANEPA on January 14 will be held in a new format

The Gaidar Forum “Russia and the World After Pandemics” will take place at RANEPA on January 14-15. For those who got used to go in January for the major expert event of the country, this year everything will change beyond all recognition. Due to the modern Internet technologies, the forum 2021 now can be visited without leaving home and without registration. For the first time ever, the event will be held in mixed format: over 350 experts and speakers from all over the world will take part in discussions in halls and studios in the live broadcast mode, and viewers will be able to follow the progress of online discussions at the website of the Academy and on other resources.

In 2021, the format of the Gaidar Forum was completely rethought with a modicum of epidemiological restrictions. As Vladimir Mau, Rector, the Presidential Academy, said in the interview with TASS, “for the last two years, there has been much feedback from participants of our forum that the forum format has exhausted itself for 10 years. As it often happens, when everyone begins asking to find something else, the live says: “You wanted it, here you are.” And now our main issue is how to save elements of the traditional format in this new reality, where we will introduce our speakers. Even a year ago, an online speech decreased the level of an event. Though now it is standard.”
