The Novosibirsk Region may become the pilot region in refinement of the standard development model for territories with high concentration of research, development, innovative infrastructure and production within the Spatial Development Strategy of the Russian Federation. Grigory Trubnikov, First Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, brought it out.
According to Andrey Travnikov, Acting Governor of the Region, conditions must be created for system development of the territory. ‘It not may, but must become, because Novosibirsk is not just an Academic Town, but already a wider territory with high concentration of scientific and innovative potential,’ he is sure.
