Dmitry Azarov shared the region’s experience in fighting COVID-19 at the international conference

On Tuesday, October 13, Dmitry Azarov, Governor of the Samara Region, attended International Scientific-Practical Conference Pandemic 2020: Challenges, Solutions, Consequences, held by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation together with RANEPA and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia.

Heads of authorities of the Russian Federation and regions took part in discussion of issues on fighting the new coronavirus infection. They include: Anna Popova, Head of Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) of the Russian Federation; Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of Russia; Vladimir Nazarov, Director of the Finance Research Institute at the Ministry of Finance of Russia; heads of some constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In addition, the discussion was attended by leading global experts in issues of spread of the new coronavirus infection: Dorit Nitzan, Regional Emergency Director, World Health Organization; Olivia Wigzell, Director General, Socialstyrelsen (The National Board of Health and Welfare of Sweden); Christos Christou, President, International Independent Medical Humanitarian Organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The main goal of the conference was exchange of advanced experience in fighting the coronavirus spread and best practices in operation of the healthcare system in this complicated period.
